10 Reasons Why Inner Beauty is More Important Than Outer

A beautiful heart is more important than a beautiful body. Here’s a list of 10 reasons explaining why inner beauty is more important than that of the exterior:

1. Inner beauty makes you a beautiful person
A sexy body doesn’t guarantee a beautiful heart. It is the inner beauty, kindness and generosity of your heart that makes you a beautiful person.

2. Inner beauty is long lasting
You don’t need costly cosmetics or expensive surgeries to keep your inner beauty intact. It is long lasting. It will forever provide a radiant and bright outlook to your personality.

3. Inner beauty makes people fall in love with you
A beautiful exterior might attract someone to you, but what really makes them fall in love with you is your inner beauty.

4. Inner beauty gives you peace
No matter how beautiful you may look from outside, you will not have any peace if you are not beautiful and peaceful from inside. Peace and serenity come from deep within.

5. Inner beauty helps you connect emotionally
External physical beauty alone will not help you in connecting with people emotionally. Rather it will make you aloof and alone. What you need is your inner beauty to feel connected with people you love.

6. Inner beauty helps you connect with God / ‘supreme’ entity
Inner beauty makes you spiritual and helps you in providing a platform to connect with God or the supreme entity of this universe.

7. Inner beauty will never die
Your face will be conquered by wrinkles and impending death, but your inner beauty will live forever. It is eternal. It will never die.

8. Inner beauty makes you confident
When you know that you are a better person with a good heart, there’s this incredible confidence that you gain. It shows in everything that you do.

9. Inner beauty doesn’t need money or cosmetics
In order to make yourself beautiful from inside, you don’t need to spend a fortune on cosmetics and stuff. All you need to do is be a good person. It makes you rise above money.

10. Inner beauty helps you judge right from wrong
Appearances are often deceptive. That’s why it is important to concentrate on one’s inner beauty. This will help you in judging right from wrong, thereby helping you make the right choice while choosing your friends.

It’s good to have a beautiful face, but what is more important is to have a beautiful soul. Always remember that your inner beauty is more important than your outside appearance and looks.

My Reflection

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
