Great White Breaches Water, Attacks Surfer

" They were just doing what they’re designed to do. I got no hard feelings against sharks," said Surfer Beau Browning
A shark attack off of the shores of Santa Cruz County in northern California Saturday left a surfer frightened — but fortunately unharmed, as the Great White shark seemed more interested in his surfboard than in taking a bite out of a human being.

Surfer Beau Browning was riding the waves about 150 feet out to sea at Manresa State Beach shortly before 7 pm September 13, when what he described to local TV station KSBW as a 15-foot Great White shark leaped out of the water and landed squarely on his surfboard. Full story

We'll if you surf you have to beware of sharks, you are in it's natural habitat…so it can bite you when ever it wants. But I have shark friends and they say "these stupid humans keep swimming and splashing making noise in the water and also polluting are water…. If I see one I'm going to give him a nibble on his leg and scare him away. One by one.

We are in their domain,Sharks have no other way to explore unfamiliar objects in the water. They tend to bite to investigate.Clearly it wasn't the sharks fault, thank goodness the surfer wasn't badly injured I would like to thank him and the beach authorities for not taking retaliation measures against it.

No thank you !! Sharks are human eaters, I would prefer Killer Whales, because they don't eat humans, but they eat sharks, especially when the Sharks mess with thier babies.

Sharks are not human eaters. Humans wear wet suits the same color as real shark food – seals. Our wet suits are gray and when we move in the water, sharks mistake us for seals. That's why most shark bites are bites. They bite to see if we are seals and then move away when they realize we are not. There is a company in Australia that is testing black and white striped suits with good success so far.

A guy died at Byron Bay in australia last week..australia has had many shark attacks causing death..have to be 3 or 4 fatalities in the past year..it's all part of sharing the ocean and swimming or surfing at right times of day..stay safe..bull sharks are worse than great whites as bull sharks can live in fresh and salt water and are way more aggressive

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
