Help us save the whales: 33 Whales has already been slaughtered at this years Pilot Whale slaughter at the Faroe Islands.
Whales cannot speak, we need to speak for them
This tradition goes back as long as the islands has been inhabited but in present time the declining Whale population of the Globe can no longer bear these habitual slaughters here there and everywhere and thus it has turned into unsustainable and cruel killings.Last year it was revealed that all the meat was unfit for consumption, due to all the stress hormones in the animals! Why do it?

As an average Dane I believe that I speak for the majority of the Danish population when I point out that we do not feel connected to the people of The Faroe Islands. We do not share the same traditions nor language. The people of the faroe Islands have also long term had autonomy and almost total independency from Denmark.

Why don’t we cut the last ties to the Faroe Islanders? Imperialism is outdated.

We, the undersigned citizens of the World, hereby call out to the Danish government to withdraw the support of the Danish navy to these killings and to use the money otherwise spent on this absurdity in a more sustainable way to protect wildlife and not destroy it.

My dearest gplus friend +Sofie Løve Forsberg has set up this petition page for us to help save the whales. Hope you can help us sign the petition to put an end to this brutal murder…

My Reflection

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
