I Will Reach That Place

What is this feeling known as inner peace,
do I have to buy it? take it out on lease?
I don’t think it’s too much to ask
but its so hard to gain, a simple task

But every day, as I wake,
it’s a task I continue to take
doing what I can, for a better day
doing it different, each and every way.

Because one day I’m sure,
I’ll reach that place,
where the sun shall fall,
with warmth upon my face.

So to all out there, aiming for the same
take responsibility, don’t pass blame,

But most importantly, never cease
as one day you will find,
your inner peace.

Words and river remind me dimly I think there is a Buddhist teaching about searching for peace being like putting foot in river…it's past the moment you enter…something like that I recall.

+Steve Tuffill , u found ur peace here, maybe I should go wher u r 2 find peace, just kiddin, interesting wot u say, but inner peace is internal, I don't think a geographical change will bring inner peace, maybe ur visit here faccilit8d inner peace bcause u were sumwher dif than the norm 4 u, real peace will stay wit u regardless of ur position on the map, this is my opinion friend, I mean no dis-respect 2 ur comment, I just wantd 2 share wit u my view th@ real inner peace is inside us & starts inside us, sum external beauty can bring a feeling of bliss, but I can't c going elsewhere 2 find peace would work, I will b glad 2 hear u out, if u want, I would b interested 2 hear u explain wot ur sayin, in case I didn't get wot u were tryin 2 say, take care m8 🙂

Peace be with you, +Rob Robinson and all your friends in Adelaide… (I never went there, but I had a tight itinerary…) 🙁 You know, the Australians I met on my trip contributed a lot to me having a great and peaceful vacation… Thanks to all of you! 🙂

+Steve Tuffill thanks Steve, I was not born there, but our family moved there in 1965. I can honestly say, giving everyone a fair go is the local religion. Fanatics are called "Bible Bashers" amongst other colorful utterances.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
