Just like a candle

You are like a candle. Imagine you are sending light out all around you. All your words, thoughts and actions are going in many directions. If you say something kind, your kind words go in many directions, and you yourself go with them. We are …transforming and continuing in a different form at every moment. ~Thich Nhat Hanh

Elton John the great British Rock singer wrote a Song for Marilyn Monroe called "Candle in the Wind" about how fragile Marilyn Monroe looked to Him for all Her years as a Movie Star…. If we are only but a candle burning in rough conditions it can easily be blown-out, so the need to be strong in all circumstances is the only way to get through the hardest of times with your dignity and pride in perfect condition.

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
