The greatest advantage of yourself being with God is you are never unhappy, to be with God is the most effective way to find happiness in ourselves.

PRAYER IS THE MOST ESSENTIAL MESSENGER IN BETWEEN GOD N HUMAN BEINGS. PRAYER WITH CONCENTRATION HELPS TO KEEP MIND FRESH AND AWAY FROM ILL THOUGHTS.

prayer puts us in tune with God or gods or the cosmos,,, but sometimes we cannot help but be very selfish with our prayers because the universe with its dual-personality is a very terrifying place to live and suffer>>>this is why sometimes it is left up to us to create Heaven for ourselves rather than to wait for a God or gods to do it for us>>>nevertheless, in weakness we must pray

+Terry Raven Praying in Buddhism [the right way] is different. We are not asking for anything during our prayers, but to pay respect to the enlightened one; praise his great teaching, as a reminder for us to follow the peaceful path, the path that can reduce our suffering, by trying our best to put this teaching into our practice. Hope I did not confuse you.

It is one of my great experiences during a prayer when suddenly I got the solution of a problem which I couldn't solve with my efficiency , skill and years of hard working and was almost going to lose the hopes but got it just like a download of complete solution and within a few seconds but object of prayer was not to ask anything. Hope you are feeling better, please take care , get well soon +Jendhamuni Sos .

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
