Our job is to Love others

Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy…this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbors worthy.

    World peace can be achieved
    When, in each person,
    The power of love
    Replaces the love of power.

Good morning +Jendhamuni Sos my friend, you are correct.  When you love others, it is not without unconditional attachment.  Even if you agree to disagree, this does not and should not stop you from loving that individual.  No one upon this Earth should ever question if anyone is 'worthy' of love, for me that is the easy part to love without questioning the worthiness of it.  However, I would welcome the feeling of reciprocation; and if that is fleeting, I will love you no less.  Thank you for sharing an important needed wisdom.   Happy Thursday to you, may it be filled with wonderful blessings!   Godspeed

I'm gonna play the Devil's Advocate here. You really can be this naive in life. You have to accept that there is hatered and ugliness in this world. It is a part of nature. You must have bad to appreciate the good. You must have the dark to enjoy the light and you must hatered to appreciate love. It's like this in the animal kingdom and with mankind. To think the world could be full of nothing but love and peace if we all try is to have a child's mind. The thing is however, we can balance it out better and lessen the blows of what is negative around us if we knew how, but we don't. I do believe that we are working our way to this goal over the course of our existence though.

Errm I'm not sure I understand where this line of ideas has come from. I don't hate anybody but I can't say ,with honesty that I love everyone. I don't know everyone. God does, and he loves everyone.

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.

Problems we face today
