She’s always in my Heart

Me and the poor little girl in Cambodia…
This innocent little girl kept begging me to buy her pumpkin pie. I wanted to donate, to help her, but I could not. Someone stole all my personal belongings, including my money and travel documents. I didn’t even have one penny in my pocket…

Very sad, sister +Patricia Errazuriz and the police officers even refused to issue me  the report, so I could get my passport to fly back to U.S.A. It took about a week for them to write me one, they wanted me to bribe them with money. So sad, such a nightmare.

Oh sister +Jendhamuni Sos You didn't tell me this before :-(( I'm sorry you had this sad experience. At least you speak the language so you could handle this situation….

Oh, no the language didn't help me much that time sister +Patricia Errazuriz I had to fight with the Police Chief for several times. He almost arrested me, because I told him how corrupted he and his staff were. He got so angry at me.

This is couple years already, sister. Sorry I was busy editing the show, didn't see your message, till now. I couldn't return home that time. Had to wait one extra week. Lucky I was a U.S. citizen, that's why the officers were afraid to do such thing to me. With the help of the courageous senator in Cambodia, the police gave me what I needed.

I returned home with nothing but cameras. My poor mother didn't even know I sneak out to Cambodia either. She thought I went to a conference in U.S.A. Up to now, I never told her what happened during that trip, sister +Patricia Errazuriz

Thank you so much +Mark-John Clifford for your kind consideration. I have no idea where she lives. Poor kids are everywhere in Cambodia. I could hardly move my feet the whole time I was there. Little children begging left and right. I agree with +Alan Peto Buddhism, about going through the East Meets West foundation. That is one of the best way to help. Please have a most lovely day.

My dear +Kenneth Chow I never found my belongings, all gone for good. Lucky enough I didn't lose any of TV equipments, just the bag. I never regret what was stolen. The person who stole my stuff needed them more then I do to survive. All I wanted that time was to fly back home.

Thank you so much +Viay Reddy! Yes, it was such a nightmare that time, but once the UN issued me a new temporary passport to fly back, I started smiling right a way. I never forget a kind Cambodian senator who went through so much to help me get on the plane to get back home that day…

i like ur generosity in helping a poor boy. I would like to state that instead of spending money for the child . u can place him in some employment that will solve his hunger for his life which will be remembered through out his life friend. Please donot cultivate to donate money but in kind please as a well wisher i would like to say friend.

Sorry in those places that is the prerogative of the rich. Their children learn how to fish in the finest boarding schools and later universities. If there is a lack of talent they bribe their way through. Here a professor was caught red handed through an academic audit. I'm afraid it is only the tip of the iceberg. I remain hopeful for the future by self teaching on line and if you think you're good enough sit for your exam. Otherwise the academic fees equal a year's middle class salary, the have's have their classy backsides well and truly covered. Nice talking to you +peetala swarna Kumar 🙂

Here to education became commodity in the market…only middle class and rich are offering their children good education, where as 80% of people are with out education..government shirk of their education responsibiliy…only the poor are scape goats..in every age..

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
