1. A language spoken by heart

    Comment

Friendship is a language spoken by heart…
Not written on paper, nor given by pledge…
It is a promise renewed every time we keep in touch…

Care is the sweetest form of love.
When someone says ‘take care’ it really
means that you will stay in their hearts.
So take Care of yourself always.

  2. Song of the diamond heart

    Comment

    20160917_184449

The pine tree’s voice is always whispering
Yet how many pause to listen?
For when the churning mind is still,
    The Diamond Heart within
Reflects even the falling dusk that
    Shrouds every eye and branch
    And hears, but listens not.
Walking then, with Courage and Kindness,
Never ceasing to walk in Wonder,
    We follow our ancient path.
    For the Way of the sword is folded two;
Like the rose we have thorns,
And like the rose, we unfold

    ~By G. Bluestone

  4. Talking Leaves

    67

    Happiness… is always Free!
Doesn’t cost you a dime, not even one penny.
    Open your heart… look closely…
You will see, Happiness in your eyes.

    Look at those falling leaves!
Do you feel Peace, in your heart?
Leaves… of course, are free of charge,
    Rich or Poor, can enjoy.

    Leaves are talking to you!
Do you know, what they are saying?
    Flying closer and closer,
    Like messengers, from the Heaven.
    Delivering an important message,
    That will read, as follows:

    Life is too short,
So be kind to one another.
    Learn to share your smile,
    Even with strangers.
    Cherish Life Today,
    For Tomorrow, May Never Come…

Watching leaves is my favorite hobby.
Some of you may think I’m crazy,
But this is the reality of my life.
I’m not a poet, just putting my thoughts together.

  5. I walk down the street…

    1) I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk
    I fall in.
    I am lost…
    I am hopeless.
    It isn’t my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

    2) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I pretend I don’t see it.
    I fall in again.
I can’t believe I’m in the same place.
    But it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

    3) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I see it is there.
    I still fall in…it’s a habit
    My eyes are open; I know where I am;
    It is my fault.
    I get out immediately.

    4) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I walk around it.

    5) I walk down another street.

  6. Patience is the ballast of the soul

    Comment

Patience is the ballast of the soul, that will keep it from rolling and tumbling in the greatest storms: and he, that will venture out without this to make him sail even and steady will certainly make shipwreck, and drown himself; first, in the cares and sorrows of this world; and, then, in perdition. ~Ezekiel Hopkins

  7. Love is the Inspiration

    441

Love is the inspiration for the heart to sing a tune,
    For the ear to hear,
    For the soul to warm,
    For the mouth to smile,
    For the eyes to glisten.
Love is the inspiration for want,
For the soul to draw near another,
For the mouth to utter sweet words,
For the eyes to gaze upon,
For the heart to speak out.
Love is the inspiration for need,
    For the mouth to touch,
    For the eyes to close,
    For the heart to race,
    For the ear to burn.
Love is the inspiration for longing,
For the eyes to see only the one,
For the heart to cry out,
For the ear to hear whispers,
For the soul to join another forever.
Love is the inspiration for forever,
For the heart to be whole,
For the ear to always hear those words,
For the soul to have another,
For the mouth to speak the truth.
Love is the inspiration for the heart to seek God,
For the ear to hear his word,
For the soul to reach for him,
For the mouth to speak his truth,
For the eyes to always look upon him first,
For God is the inspiration for Love.

    Peace: It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work;
it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. ~Unknown

  10. A purified mind looks clean and feels good

    Comment

In order to purify the mind Buddha taught us to stop reacting emotionally. It means to just acknowledge without reacting, which requires a certain knowledge. This knowledge can be reached by the Vipasana Meditation.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
