The true meaning of life

We are but visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety or one hundred years at the very most. During that period, we must try to do something good, something useful with our lives. If you contribute to other people’s happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life. ~Dalai Lama

+Jendhamuni Sos I always believed the comment from the Dalia Lama to be true, but now I have found so many people never appreciate charitable acts of goodness and kindness. It may just be the way society in the US is predatory and so different, but I have much difficulty with this variation in cultural values.

I wonder what the Dalai Lama, being as he is a Buddhist, thinks about the possibility of each of us having an immortal soul as Christianity teaches.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.
