What you are

You may not be perfect in many things, but many things
can’t be perfect without you.

The world is a great mirror.
If reflects back to you what you are,
If you are loving,
If you are friendly,
If you are helpful, the world will prove loving, friendly and helpful to you.
The world is what you are… ~MalluBar sms

This posting by Jen is supported as not only the sentiment of one of good spirit, but by much of the best philosophy, as something very real that she confers on others: although we cannot know everything of which it is composed, there is a 'whole' of everything, a 'totality': that totality REQUIRES all the necessary fragments of which it is composed: that includes all human individuals as inherent and required for the whole, or totality, to be what it is. Jen reminds here not of just what a good person may wish, but something that is 'necessarily' true.

What Jen posts here is not only the sentiment of a good spirit, but something backed by the best of philosophy. Although we cannot know everything of which it is composed, there is a 'whole' of everything, a 'totality', constituted of many fragments, including all human individuals. This implies the that all human individuals are 'necessary' for the 'whole', or the 'totality', to be what it is.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
