1. A beautiful flower

    82

Compassion is a beautiful flower born of understanding. When you get angry with someone, practice breathing in and out mindfully. Look deeply into the situation to see the true nature of your own and the other person's suffering, and you will be liberated. Inside every one of us is a garden, and every practitioner has to go back to their garden and take care of it. Maybe in the past you left it untended for a long time. You should know exactly what is going on in your own garden, and try to put everything in order. Restore the beauty; restore the harmony in your garden. If it is well tended, many people will enjoy your garden. ~Thich Nhat Hanh

  4. Like the ocean

We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than

  7. A real love letter…

    Comment

A real love letter is made of insight, understanding, and compassion. Otherwise it’s not a love letter. A true love letter can produce a transformation in the other person, and therefore in the world. But before it produces a transformation in the other person, it has to produce a transformation within us. Some letters may take the whole of our lifetime to write. ~Thich Nhat Hanh

  8. From the depths of our hearts

    Comment

The practice of lovingkindness can uplift us & relieve sorrow & unhappiness. The more we genuinely care about others the greater our own happiness & inner peace. ~Allan Lokos

“We live in a world today that lacks loving-kindness and compassion for our fellow man and woman. As Gandhi so eloquently stated, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” We need to strive to be better, to be the image of selflessness. Love and give to those in need–expecting nothing in return. Give out of sincerity and from the depths of our hearts. Have compassion for every man, woman and child, no matter what ethnicity or background they come from. Love is blind. Love is unconditional. Love has the power to heal and redeem, and that is what Humanity should strive for.” ~Terry A O’Neal
