1. The faithful

    Comment

Even if the faithful can recite
only a few of the scriptures,
    if they act accordingly,
having given up passion, hate, and folly,
being possessed of true knowledge and serenity of mind,
craving nothing in this world or the next,
they are living the holy life.

Even if the thoughtless can recite many of the scriptures,
if they do not act accordingly,
they are not living the holy life,
but are like a cowherd counting the cows of others.

  2. The virtuous

    Comment

The virtuous are happy in this world,
and they are happy in the next; they are happy in both.
They are happy when they think of the good they have done.
They are even happier when going on the good path.

    Wrong-doers suffer in this world,
and they suffer in the next; they suffer in both.
They suffer when they think of the wrong they have done.
They suffer even more when going on the wrong path.

  3. A cat is a lot smarter than an iPad

    Comment

You may think your new tablet is awesome: so much processing power, so much storage space, so much speed. But don’t gloat too much, because your cat’s brain can smoke your iPad. A typical iPad has 60 gigabytes of data storage space, but your cat’s brain has about 91,000 gigabytes. In terms of processing speed, your iPad does about 170 million operations per second. Your cat’s brain, on the other hand, does 6.1 trillion operations per second. Unfortunately, your cat doesn’t have wi-fi and 4G data access. Source: Catster

  4. The sunshine of life

    Comment

Friendship is precious, not only in the shade,
but in the sunshine of life; and thanks to a benevolent
arrangement of things, the greater part of life is sunshine.

    ~Thomas Jefferson

  5. Kitty does not want to be on camera

    Comment

Cat families usually play best in even numbers. Cats and kittens should be acquired in pairs whenever possible. A fifteen year old cat has probably spent ten years of its life sleeping. A frightened cat can run at speeds of up to 31 mph, slightly faster than a human sprinter. Source: AnimalLeague

  6. A heart without words

    Comment

Prayer is the key of the morning and the bolt of the evening. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart. In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth. ~Gandhi

  7. Take the time to just listen

    Comment

Sometimes people are holding things in, but really are just waiting
for someone to take the time to just listen and not judge. ~Unknown

  9. Make your own wherever you are

    Comment

Before you say I can’t, make sure you’ve tried.
Before you let doubts stop you, confront them with facts.
Before fear holds you back, go foward with faith.
Before you go looking for happiness, make your own wherever you are.

  10. Friendship to be real

    Comment

Friendship that insists upon agreement on all matters is not worth the name.
Friendship to be real must ever sustain the weight of honest differences,
    however sharp they be. ~Gandhi

Friendship is always a sweet responsibility, never an opportunity. ~Kahlil Gibran
