My little sister and my dad – nothing is permanent

Visiting my little sister Alanthara and my dad, at the graveyard. Behind them is Danny Svay, the grandson of our family's close friend since 1985. Danny died at age 15 from drowning, less than two years ago. My dad does not have a plaque yet. We just buried him on the 5th. ~Jendhamuni

Why does life have to be so tough. Nothing is forever. Live life one day at a time.

My heart is always with you jen. I am glad to know you, it is that memory that I cherish and choose to take with me when it is my turn to go home. When he looks back at you he must be very proud.

    Dear Jen
i am sorry you lost so many dear ones in a short time. we pray God for you. Long time back i wrote a prayer, which is called prayer of happiness. it reads:
Oh God, everything i have is yours, i came to this world alone and empty handed. all that i posses my property,my body,my near and dear ones, all is yours. i am only a custodian. you may take back what ever you want and when ever you want. i will not complain. i shall always be thankful to you. Omen.
If we recite this prayer every day we will never be sad. so say the prayer and smile.
    best wishes.

Morning dear friend +Jendhamuni Sos . Hard times and good times come and go. We're left with memories but we have to continue with life as God would want us to. I would urge you rise and stop grieving as you recently wrote in one post that nothing you may do would bring back your father. How I would have liked to see you with a smile tending this grave!

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
