1. Everything is Perfect

    61

    When there’s that special person
    You just can’t get off your mind
    If you look in your heart
    That person you will find

    No matter how much they hurt you
    They still mean so much
    Because you feel as though you’d die
    Without there gentle touch

    And when your with them
    You feel so free
    There is no doubt in your mind
    That this is how it’s supposed to be Continue reading

  2. Happy Khmer New Year

    63

    Happy New Year to all my Cambodian friends from around the world. I have nothing to say to you, besides this:

    Treat and respect each and every single day just the same. Monday should not be more special than Tuesday. Just as though you have seven children, and you should love them and treat them equally as a good parent. No such thing as Monday is a lucky day, Tuesday is a bad luck day or anything like that, in Buddhism. We must master our words, our thoughts and never allow our body to do harm every breath we take. This is the real lucky day! Whatever happened in the past, we cannot change. However we can change our future by living our lives wisely in this present moment. The present is the mother of the future. Therefore, we must cultivate our compassion so we can be a good parent for our future children. Just like His Holiness Dalai Lama said, “Compassion compels us to reach out to all living beings, including our so-called enemies, those people who upset or hurt us. Irrespective of what they do to you, if you remember that all beings like you are only trying to be happy, you will find it much easier to develop compassion towards them.”

    May all beings live in Happiness and Peace.

    Your Friend,
    Jendhamuni

  3. Only real friends

    Only real friends will tell you when your face is dirty. ~Sicilian Proverb

  4. Be that woman

    45

    Be the woman you want
    your daughter to be…
    Be the woman you want
    your son to date…

  5. Shining Star

    37

    As the days go rolling by,
    You have to keep reaching for the sky.
    Let no one steer you away from your course
    Cause you are your only energy source.
    Keep on soaring both near and far;
    Your light constantly shines
    You’re a shining star.

    ~Poetry by Natasha Niemi

  6. Rest in Peace, Danny

    59

    The loss of a loved one turns our life upside down.
    Our world as we knew it has changed
    and those changes require that
    we in turn adjust to a new “normal.”

  7. The presence of the Gods

    32

    Speak the truth.
    Give whatever you can.
    Never be angry.
    These three steps will lead you
    Into the presence of the Gods.

    ~Buddha

  8. The Broken Cord

    21

    We little knew that morning that God
    Was going to call your name.
    In life we loved you dearly,
    In death we do the same.
    It broke our hearts to lose you,
    You did not go alone;
    For part of us went with you,
    The day God called you home.
    You left us peaceful memories,
    Your love is still our guide;
    And though we cannot see you,
    You are always at our side.
    Our family chain is broken,
    And nothing seems the same;
    But as God calls us, one by one,
    The Chain will link again.

  9. Steeped With Compassion

    42

    I am your moon and your moonlight too
    I am your flower garden and your water too.
    I have come all this way eager for you,
    without shoes or shawl.
    I want you to laugh, to kill all your worries, to love you, to nourish you.
    Oh sweet bitterness, I will soothe you and heal you.
    I will bring you roses. I too have been covered with thorns
