1. Wherever We Walk

    Comment

Wherever we walk, whether it’s the railway station
or the supermarket, we are walking on the earth
and so we are in a holy sanctuary. If we remember
to walk like that, we can be nourished and find
solidity with each step. ~Thich Nhat Hanh

  3. Flight Attendant Forces Child To Urinate In Seat

    Comment
A mother says her 3-year-old daughter was forced to urinate in her seat
because a JetBlue flight attendant would not let her use the bathroom.

The Daily Caller, June 15, 2014

A grumpy flight attendant demonstrated her lack of parenting skills when she forced a child to urinate in her seat.

Jennifer Deveraux was travelling with her two daughters when the exceptional customer service occurred on a JetBlue flight. Flight 518 was delayed on the tarmac at John F. Kennedy International Airport in N.Y. on Monday, waiting to fly to Boston, CBS Boston reports.

One of Deveraux’s daughters, Summers, needed to use the bathroom, and began to cry. When her mother tried to help her to the bathroom, a flight attendant refused to let them stand up, forcing the child to urinate on herself and the seat.

“She snapped at me, ‘No sit down,’” Deveraux said.

Deveraux attempted to stand up again to clean up the mess, and the
flight attendant yelled at her a second time. “And I said, ‘please give
me a break. My daughter had an accident because you wouldn’t let me take
her to the bathroom. After I clean it up I will sit down.’ She turned
around and reported it to the pilot,” Deveraux said.

The pilot then turned the plane around and took it back to the gate, announcing over the intercom that there was a non-compliant passenger on board, and they would be brought to security.

Thankfully, an off-duty pilot sitting two seats in front of Deveraux realized how ridiculous the situation was and convinced the crew to let her stay.

Deveraux wrote to JetBlue to inform them of the phenomenal service. “I want an apology and I don’t want them to do this to any other family. I want this behavior to be stopped,” she said.

“It wasn’t about bad customer service at that point, it was about bad human decency. My daughter was sitting in a pool of urine and I couldn’t do anything about it,” Deveraux said. “And as a mom it just broke my heart.”

JetBlue released a statement saying they will reach out directly to Deveraux. The airline also replied to a tweet asking about the incident.

  4. Wear a smile — one size fits all

    Comment

A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive
without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the
memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he
cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made
rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen,
for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given
away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of
yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.

  5. Love is the flower of life…

    Comment

We’ve got this gift of love, but love is like
a precious plant. You can’t just accept it
and leave it in the cupboard or just think
it’s going to get on by itself. You’ve got
to keep watering it. You’ve got to really
look after it and nurture it.

  6. Living in the moment

    Comment

Peace comes from living in the moment and looking for the good in others.
Peacefulness comes from facing our fears and letting them go – trusting that
things will turn out all right. Peacefulness is also a way of approaching conflict
with others so no one is made wrong. Everyone wins because we then work to
    find a peaceful solution.
