1. Embrace all living creatures

    Comment

A human being is part of the whole called by us
‘universe’ – a part limited in time and space.
Our task must be to free ourselves from
this prison by widening our circle of compassion
to embrace all living creatures and the whole
of nature in its beauty. ~Albert Einstein

What happens when you keep brewing coffee beyond a certain duration?
It gets bitter, way too bitter to be consumed, it cannot be sweetened by any
honey any more. Similarly, when a person holds onto their negative emotions,
such negativity keeps on brewing, it makes the person bitterer. The longer
they hold onto, the greater the bitterness.

Brewing anger can easily lead to a fit of rage because an outburst is more
a symptom, an outcome, than a cause, it is a sign that you have been holding
onto negative emotions within you. It is like heating up a steamed dumpling
    in a microwave oven.

The dumpling is able to take heat to a certain degree, beyond which it simply
explodes, splattering all over, it is no longer edible, much less presentable.
The brewer is a real killer, it is the slow poison. Unlike the volcano,
this one is kept in heart. Many harbor anger and other negative emotions,
they are unable to let go.

  4. My little sister and I on November 9, 2013

    Comment

Our family just buried our little sister, Alanthara on our 28th anniversary in America November 9, 2013. Yes, this day is bittersweet for us. Coincidentally, little sister is now Dany Svay’s neighbor at the cemetery. Dany is a grandson of our family’s very close friend and room mate in Texas. We moved to Massachusetts together on November 3, 1987, the day my little sister passed away [26 years later]. Dany died from drowning at his high school pool on April 9th, 2013 at age 16. We purchased a plot for our little sister, without knowing…From now on my mother and Dany’s grandma can cry together during their visits….

  5. Be yourself, authentically yourself. Respect yourself

    Comment

The first step towards discovery is to accept yourself, rejoice in being yourself. Be yourself, authentically yourself. Respect yourself. Love yourself. You are a vast universe! And slowly slowly, as you become more conscious, you will be able to put things right, into right places. You are topsy-turvy, that is true, but nothing is wrong with you. You are not a sinner — just a little rearrangement and you will become a beautiful phenomenon. ~Osho

  6. One of the most beautiful flowers of the human soul

    Comment

One who forgives is forgiven. The quality and capacity to forgive is one of the most beautiful flowers of the human soul. Revenge is ugly, mean; it is falling to the lowest. To forgive is to rise so high. The more one becomes capable of forgiving, the more one’s heart expands, one’s consciousness grows bigger. The day one can forgive all and everything is the day when god meets man, and man meets god. So let this quality of forgiveness become your very center. Don’t forgive in the sense that you are obliging. Don’t forgive as a duty, because then it creates the ego, and a very subtle ego, which is dangerous, more dangerous than revenge itself. The holy ego is the worst possible ego in the world. So don’t be righteous. Take it with ease; to forgive should come naturally, and then it is really a benediction. ~Osho

  8. Looking inside yourself…

    Comment

Nobody can say anything about you. Whatsoever people say
is about themselves. But you become very shaky, because
you are still clinging to a false center. That false center depends
on others, so you are always looking to what people are saying
about you. And you are always following other people, you are
always trying to satisfy them. You are always trying to be respectable,
you are always trying to decorate your ego. Rather than being
disturbed by what others say, you should start looking inside
yourself.  To know the real self is not so cheap. But people
are always hankering for cheap things.  ~Osho
