1. Learn to let go of an attachment to feelings

    Comment

Feelings are powerful but if we let them control us, we are imprisoned by wayward masters. Accept that sometimes we will feel pain and loss, but we can choose to suffer endlessly or to learn and move on. Feelings are better out than in, so expressing them will help you deal with them more productively than bottling them up inside. Write in a journal, write poems, leave anonymous blog posts, write a letter and burn it, or talk to your invisible or even best trusted friend. Find outlets for your feelings so that they don’t serve as unhealthy attachments. Source: wikiHow   Link to Google+

  2. Not from what you perceive

    18

Befriend yourself. Your self-worth should come from within, not from what you perceive that others think of you. Attachment to others gets unhealthy when you're continuing to be around people who are toxic for you just because you're afraid of being alone or left out. By befriending yourself, you won't fear the times of being alone as much, and you will also open up to being available to a wider group of people rather than attaching to merely a few. And strive to maintain healthy relationships with the people you do interact with daily, giving one another breathing space and not expecting too much of others. Source: wikiHow

  3. Do not expect too much…

    Comment

Stopping by, reminding you to smile… Still have several more tasks to complete.
As soon as I’m done, I will come by to visit some of you. Miss all of you very much…
Practice detaching yourself from things that are difficult to let go. Nothing is permanent.
Do not expect too much. Craving and clinging will make you suffer, angry, lonely and sad.
The more you let go, the more you will experience peace. ~Jendhamuni   Link to Google+

Life isn’t full of darkness. Even if storms come to pass, the sun

Everything in Nature goes so beautifully in accord,
because nobody is trying to compete with anybody,

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
