1. It is just like the days

    158

Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend – or a meaningful day.~Dalai Lama
  2. God is the friend of silence

    124

We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls. ~Mother Teresa
  3. My friend

    77

My best friend who was like a dearest sister to me, passed a way 6 days ago. She died of breast cancer – the silent killer. She found out she had cancer last year. She's such a tough woman, never feared death. I met her at the monastery when I went to study Buddhism. I was around 18 or 19 years old. We became so close since then. Both of us have been traveling to so many places together with our great masters. It was not a shocking death like my little sister. I miss her very much. During these past two months, I lost three loved ones. I'm not sad, stressed or depressed because I keep each and every one of them very close to my heart, much closer than ever, but I do not know how to cry like most human. My best friend and I, never had room for hate in our hearts. Our masters trained us to pray for loving kindness and compassion for our so-called enemies every day, especially for those who hurt us the most in our lives. Both, she and I went through so much together during this lifetime. My best friend yelled at me more than my mother, especially when I felt lazy. Her death reminds me every moment to get up and spread my loving kindness and compassion to all sentient beings, including our so-called enemies…
  4. Make room for the so-called enemies

    52

I know it's very difficult for many of you to say your daily prayers for the so-called enemies. Please make room for them in your heart. These individuals need love more than anyone. Don't curse them, don't hate them, but continue to spread your loving kindness and compassion through  your prayers for them. Once you have trained your heart to extend your love and compassion to these most disturbing people, look up the sky, feel the loves and smiles from above…~Jendhamuni
  5. An energy that needs to be transformed

    9

Every time you have an energy that needs to be transformed, like jealousy or fear, do something to care for this energy, for this negative energy, if you do not want this energy to destroy you… There should be no conflict between one element of our being and another element of our being. There should only be an effort of taking care and being able to transform. So we must have a nonviolent attitude with regard to our suffering, our pain. ~Thich Nhat Hanh
  6. A sunset outside

    13

Never waste any amount of time doing anything important when there is a sunset outside that you should be sitting under! ~C. JoyBell C.
