The Essence Of Love

Training is needed in order to love properly; and to be able to give happiness and joy, you must practice DEEP LOOKING directed toward the other person you love. Because if you do not understand this person, you cannot love properly. Understanding is the essence of love. If you cannot understand, you cannot love. That is the message of the Buddha. ~Thich Nhat Hanh

Sure It could be more easy if all of us (in the occidental society), take off the mask, and open a little more our hearts, but we're afraid because we think that make us more vulnerable, I think…

+Jendhamuni Sos I respectfully disagree when it is put that way.

Training is not needed and there is only one love that is proper, albeit expressed in many different forms…

Understanding is important but without Communication…all can be lost.

After a long time you have selected the theme love.so I like to add some.
    Love is nice
    Love is kind
    Love is fantastic
    Love is trustworthy
    So…..Always love to love
    Then love will love you
    So….You will be….
    Nice,kind,fantastic & trustworthy
    But….remember…
    Love is offering
    But not….begging.

+John Benussi The word "training" here is not the same as the training class. It's more like training your mind. The mind needs to be trained every day, every minute, every second. Also, the word "understanding" is like a big umbrella that covers everything little thing for love.

+Umeshika Thathsarani My life, each path is a journey I take very seriously as I laugh in the face of adversity.

I feel not of this Earth as I unconditionally love ever living thing. I am a living empath.

    Please don't take this wrong…
I appreciate you taking the time to drop your keen sense of insight. However telling someone that they are not ready (without being aware of my experience, transcendence and enlightenment) cannot speak so highly of your presumed piety, can it?

    Which path do you walk?

That really does make a whole lot of sense. All though it may take patience & understanding.I feel that Love is really worth it!!!

You have perhaps not carefully read Jhendamuni's comments titled ' essence of love'. Kindly read once again and then go through my comments to understand the theme of my comments fully. Please let know if you still feel some confusion.

    +Umeshika Thathsarani Ok…ready? …

Your words cannot hurt one without permission…that being said…No your words did not hurt me. Actually I was wondering why you would tell someone,

    "Still you are not ready"

So…I was trying to understand how or why you could say such a thing without knowing me or walking my path…peace and love to you.

It is only a joke benussi.don't get mind so much.i didn't think it make you worry or sorry.

  21. Rana Muhammad Hussain

    May 31, 2013

To say everything seriously and simply to wash every thing away by saying,''it is only a joke"", is a good habit. Stay blessed.

Thanks for the compliments, James. I'm sure you well understand what tension does it bring to the person if things said by him are smoked saying only a joke.

    May 31, 2013

+Rana Muhammad Hussain I have no clue what you are saying. Usually jokes are accompanied by:

    -lol
    -haha
    -just kidding
    -or smilies.

    Perhaps these facts elude you?

  24. Umeshika Thathsarani

    May 31, 2013

Don't say like that.you don't what happened that day.first at all Benussi started to joke.i didn't get mind and finally i say that you are not perfectly trained to understand me.i said the truth.but he understand it in another way and was worry.i don't like to make anyone worry.so i said that it is only a joke to settle his mind.i know i didn't do any wrong & benussi also accepted it.so don't tell like that because it hurts me.plz.

+Umeshika Thathsarani Do you see why I say communication is the most important thing on the planet? Without it…we create problems…

    See +Jendhamuni Sos ? Haha

You can go through life without understanding (see the responses for evidence) …

    But we need communication.
Then…from communication comes love, acceptance, patience and understanding 😉

    May 31, 2013

Ok.thanks for advices.i made a mistake.i accept it.but i can't accept the words of Rana.i am a human being.so i will do mistakes.so i want to use sorry and thanks to make someone ok.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
