Art of Talking

Speak the truth not untruth,
Say what is pleasant, not unpleasant;
Speak what is true, not false.
Speak only words that do not bring remorse
Nor hurt another. That is good speech indeed.

    Very valuable words my friend +Jendhamuni Sos ;))) Thank you.
    Truth is not to be found outside. No teacher, no scripture can give it to you. It is inside you and if you wish to attain it, seek your own company. Be with yourself.

    But a thousand lie that makes one happy is better than a single truth that breaks one's heart.

    I believe it is not possible unless and until you become someone like Gautam Buddh. Because everyone around will have their own perceptions on what you speak and present to them and they may or may not get hurt after understanding the thing in their own way. But its really a nice quote.

    My take on this, goes something like "If you have nothing better to say then say nothing at all"…(the above quote is not mine)…hats off to people like you for giving us"something" to ponder over… it's kind of refreshing then the mayhem that's going on around the world in the name of "democracy" "human rights" and not to mention the folks who wants to turn back the clock…

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
