Determination and Inner Strength

Hard times build determination and inner strength. Through them we can also come to appreciate the uselessness of anger. Instead of getting angry nurture a deep caring and respect for troublemakers because by creating such trying circumstances they provide us with invaluable opportunities to practice tolerance and patience. ~Dalai Lama

Tolerance I look at it this way that these kind of people were trouble maker in the world are just lost with a new world as it is and changing as fast as it as it is we can now text talk to people all over the world and what we find tolerance.people putting up with these kind of people. Dealing only with anger. And all they have to do is take off the blinders and see the world in color. And that we're all wanting the same thing. I guess I'll have to tolerate them just a little bit longer. Ha Ha lol t

I think this comment is totally opposite of social life, because in my opinion hard times don't give u determination and inner strength, hard times give u experience, knowledge and toleration power of tolerating troubles and ,on the other hand determination and inner strength give us power to tolerate and to fight with hard times like a real man, first when u will hv determination and inner strength then only u can bear hard times otherwise u will run away by giving up like cowards. Determination and inner strength comes through your education, culture, lessons from parents (they have to teach and train u like that from your childhood )then You get the power of determination and inner strength to bear and also to fight with hard times.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
