Falling Star

That night I caught a falling star,
During summer so warm and clear.
I thought of how and where you were,
That night I caught a falling star.
To have you near me from afar
I closed my eyes and wished you here,
That night I caught a falling star
During summer so warm and clear.

Lovely poetry, in Christianity the falling stars are the symbols of the clergy who are corrupt and abuse their position of trust. Apocalypse of John. Interestingly enough Buddhism experiences something very similar. +Jendhamuni Sos

…when i close my eyes, i feel her close to me
in the midst of darkness, she is light to me
…when i shut my ears, i hear her calling me
in the midst of sadness, she is music to me
…the sum of my cheers, my number one
    my little puppy…

Beautiful… I had a dream the other night, where someone said, "Take me to see the birds." I took everyone who wished to go – down to the lake. There before my eyes was a swan. This artwork reminded me of it… Thanks so much for sharing!

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
