Happiness and Sorrow

Happiness follows sorrow, sorrow follows happiness, but when one no longer discriminates happiness and sorrow, a good deal and a bad deed, one is able to realize freedom. ~Buddha

If we choose the pleasant path to seek happiness, we will get suffering at the end, but if we choose the right path of Dharma, we will need to endure a little difficulties at first, as we need to make renunciation of our desires,. egos, and through penance and practice we will get rid of sufferings. The right path has happy endings.

nice….the thought of Buddha. i want to ask that where the Buddha was born??there is very misunderstanding about the birth place of Buddha, from the long history we are knowing and learning the Buddha was born in Nepal but the India is blaming that Buddha was born in India. The symbol of peace Lord Buddha, of all over the world, so i request to be conform about it and want to know your all knowing and that you support.????

    JUST ADDING MY THOUGHT

DO NOT SEEK HAPPINESS THROUGH TEMPORARY METHOD .
AND PERMANENT HAPPINESS COMES THROUGH ONE OWN-SELF

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
