Homeless Hearts

Every one of us needs a home. The world needs a home. There are so many young people who are homeless. They may have a building to live in, but they are homeless in their hearts. That is why the most important practice of our time is to give each person a home. ~Thich Nhat Hanh

So true +Jendhamuni Sos , my country has an increasing population of homeless peopl, & I av met many who r homeless in their hearts, they may stay @ dif places, but if ur hearts not in it, it's not a home, like they say home is wher the heart is, so many peopl these days r lost, I've had alot of experience in this matter, wen I was youngr, but I av always tried 2 look @ the bright side, but so many don't, & it's sad 4 them, very luvly pic, & thanx 4 ur wonderful post 🙂

Having a home is of course necessary, and thus is a fundamental right. A society with increasing homelessness is not a healthy society.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
