I do not believe in Violence

I cannot teach you violence, as I do not myself believe in it. I can only teach you not to bow your heads before any one even at the cost of your life. ~Mahatma Gandhi

At least use it on defense of others and never enjoy it. Sometimes we kill a feral cat to spare 3000 birds. Not because we make a sport of it.

I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.

Everything in this life that is worth having has its price, and the price of most things is suffering in some form or another. The spirit in which we face it decides whether it is a waste or an enrichment, destructive or creative.

Hi there J.S. glad to talk again for a bit. You look very lovely as usual. Your eyes tell me you are intuative and a deep thinker and one who would love someone very deeply. You are true to your convictions but very soft at heart toward those that are close to you. I already care about you by reading all your quotes and your philosophy on life, plus your raw beauty is stunning. Hope to hear from you soon. God bless.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
