I Love Me

I took myself out on a date
and said I'm looking grand,
and when I got my courage up
I asked to hold my hand.
I took me to a restaurant
and then a movie show.
I put my arm around me
in the most secluded row.
I whispered sweetly in my ear
of happiness and bliss,
and then I almost slapped me
when I tried to steal a kiss.
Then afterwards I walked me home
and since I'm so polite
I thanked me for a perfect date
and wished myself goodnight.
There's just one little problem
and it kind of hurts my pride.
Myself would not invite me in
so now I'm locked outside!

Your country is far more "Beautiful" than words can say. And for the suffering cry's of the little children; Thay never go un-heard. Have a blessed day…

I like this. Reminds me of one from about forty years ago. It goes:
I love myself, I think i'm grand. I hug myself and hold my hand.
I put my arm around my waist, and when i'm fresh I slap my face.

If there is no mutual understanding between our inner life and our outer (social) life..such life will be a HELL which JOHN MILTON described as falling into a bottomless pit. The photo gives a sywbolical meaning..If only we make both these aspects / ends meet..we can pave a better way for our mental peace, happiness, tranquility and success.

WOW!!! What an amazing and fascinating romance between you and yourself… you've highlighted that the root of your happiness comes from the relationship with yourself!

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
