Just because you are seventy

Just because you are seventy is no excuse to give up and let others make your decisions for you. The fact that you are still alive is reason enough to believe that you are here for a purpose; and that purpose is to learn, to teach, and to GIVE. ~Thomas D. Willhite

I know this is true. I know that I am alive for a wonderful reason to teach, learn and experience life.

I thank the Lord every day for giving me the time to have here that I can
give, and help people with all the hardships, trials that I have had in my
life. If I can help anyone so they do not have to go through what I did it
would be a blessing. I only want them to have the joy that I have found.

I've been through so many rough times that I though that I would never have
made it unless my life had a true meaning and purpose.Because no-one would
keep fighting to stay here unless I was to show how GOD can do miracles.

May be you are right to some extent. However I earnestly think lot many people are leading quite a purposeless life.

Age does not put any restriction to make his decisions himself. There should have a strong and brave will.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
