Kind-hearted

Every day, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others. I am going to benefit others as much as I can. ~Dalai Lama

+assaad chehade I totally agree with you! I try my best to follow this quote and I could feel peace the moment I realize I could be the master of my mind, instead of the slave.

My dear +Osvaldo de Aguiar I thank you so much for the wonderful   word you wrote, "Every day thank your God for being alive, being healthy, having a roof, water food and many other things. Let arrogance aside, be kind to everyone, do not let small problems ruin your day and those who are around you" I agree!

Live & Die for Buddhism

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
