Lotus Flowers for all my Friends

The lotus rises through the murky waters of ponds and lakes yet, when it blooms, it floats upon the surface, its petals shining and untainted by the mud from which it emerged.

What are the seeds good for Jendhamuni? I mean are they good for a certain part of your body? are they hot or cold medicine?

  29. Jendhamuni Sos

    January 2, 2013

You need to google them +Donald Joiner Plenty info. One of the benefits listed is that the seeds are powerful antioxidants and help fight inflammation and aging.

I ate them in Cambodia and Thailand all the time not because I knew anything about the benefit, but because  I was only a little girl, and we were so poor during the war, nothing really for us to eat. However it's my favorite.

    January 2, 2013

I am sorry you have been poor, I am glad you found Lotus seeds a treat. Have a lovely year my friend!

    January 7, 2013

Thank you +Donald Joiner Many of us were poor. I was not the only child. I happen to be a little luckier than other kids too because they never sent me to work during the war, 'cause I was under 5 years old.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
