May all beings live in Happiness and Peace

As a mother would risk her life to protect her child, her only child, even so should one cultivate a limitless heart with regard to all beings. So with a boundless heart should one cherish all living beings; radiating kindness over the entire world. ~The Buddha, Sutta Nipata I, 8

It's a beautiful thought for sure. However, I am not clear where to find the strength to  be kind to those people who hurt you deliberately.

Beautiful post as ever  my dear friend +Jendhamuni Sos :)))
The base of every religions are peace , Inner peace and result is happiness dear friends.
Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height. Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches. Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like the roots going down into the womb of the earth. Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes, simultaneously. The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots. In fact, it is always in proportion. That's its balance. All religions based on this fundamental philosophy only :))) Ways may be differents 🙂

These kind of coments are narrow and divisive. Wisdom should teach us to be more broad. Only open mind and tolerance can help humain kind to overcome the evil .

Yes so true, I'm not a mum, but I would give my life 4 the sake of Tanika, no hesitation. If u av a closed & negativity filld heart ur destined 4 a lonely life, maybe not wen young, but I've never met a happy older person who spent their younger days cultivating negativity, & if their not alone they're wit sum1 2 share the downhill ride wit. There's always room 4 redemption, but sum don't even try, it's sad, but there's a lot of lonely people around & it's usually there own actions th@ cause it 🙁

Live & Die for Buddhism

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
