Meditation

There are thousands upon thousands of students
who have practiced meditation and obtained its fruits.
Do not doubt its possibilities because
of the simplicity of the method.
If you can not find the truth right where you are,
where else do you expect to find it?

Yes, meditate while sleep and live the dream.

If it helps Kenneth Chow, the statement had more to do with what "meditation" does for ones state of living.

Meditation is not like a dream, my dear +Kenneth Chow You have to be mindfulness all the time, whether sit, stand, walk or sleep. That's why sleeping is the most difficult one, because most people just start falling asleep right after 5 minutes, including myself.

That is very very true +vidya sagar Many elders at our Meditation Center who used to carry cane, no longer carry them. They could walk just fine without eat after practicing meditation for quite sometimes. It's amazing!

Thank you +Jendhamuni Sos for sharing. I enjoy my time of meditation, it is a form of living that i have never want to get leave. It has opened my eyes to my inner being.

Thank you so much +Grant Watson I am very happy to hear that. I love meditation very much. Over here, we are very fortunate to have such a wise and wonderful Meditation master, who truly follows the path of Lord Buddha – very down to earth, free from attachment. I have learned so much since I met him.

+Jendhamuni Sos How do you do SLEEPING meditation.
It is nearly impossible as in subconscious there is not control in a sleeping state. (If you do a mantra for 30 min before you go to sleep, may be )

I can't even imagine what meditating is. Just relaxing and don't think about anything? I can't tie my legs in a knot either too old probably. 🙂

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
