My Country is not that Beautiful

If you like to fight, please fight for the poor children

The suffering of Khmer Children,
is never the suffering of the
Cambodian Prime Minister…

Removing this corrupted Prime Minister from the seat during the upcoming election in July, is the only solution to fix the problems in Cambodia. But we need fair elections for this dream to come true.

Sorry for say this but asking help for your god I don't think Is going to solve problems, I think people taking action have more chances to solve the problem and is really sad that is happening in your country, but like Jendhamuni Sos say first take care of that prime minister.

  23. Darren Butland

    March 4, 2013

Obviously a corrupt government. A country with a 2000 year old monarchy and a supposedly Liberalized government, one might think its people would be taken better care of. Sad sad sad.

How does one live with knowing that ur country relies on u and still, bring so much pain and outrage upon ur own people.

Thank you +Jendhamuni Sos for showing this to the world to remind us of the disastrous situation of your people. It's a shame that such things still happen to people in our modern world, and that the world let this all happen. Pictures like this leave feelings of despair, it's indescribable! … I must admit that ,before I met you here at g+, the living conditions of the Cambodian people had not been in my mind.

  87. Matt Vaughn

    March 4, 2013

Such lovely, useless thoughts. Neither God nor Jesus is going to help these children. Unfold your hands from prayer and use them to do some real work. At least send money to organizations that provide them with clean water and a basic education. That — human kindness, not divine salvation — is the only hope they have.

  91. Farhan Khan

    March 4, 2013

+Matt Vaughn You will realise one day that people that pray to God don't just pray but also give charity when they are unable to physically help. Don't criticise religion, criticise those that created the situation that put these kids in this situation.

we should do some charity ….. nd corruption will have to go away … than only such problem could shorted out

  96. Matt Vaughn

    March 4, 2013

+Farhan Khan I will realize no such thing. People can give to charities whether or not they pray. Prayer alone is an awfully shallow gesture, however, made in the false hope that a higher being will solve the problem for us. Superstitious thought in the face of real, tangible danger to life is to be discouraged as not only completely devoid of utility, but also dangerous.

  97. Kay Eom

All you can do is go over there and make a difference using your money, skills and knowledge to help as many people as you can.

Your heart is sore, but your bum is comfy on that nice seat you got at target for $49.95.

If you really ached, you would go over there and do something instead of sit here and feel sorry. Prayer does shit. I appreciate plenty and the guilt we should have for being born into privilege is bound to us due to societies rules. Charities are so thick with red tape and subsidisation that money never goes where it is meant to and it is useless. Shit or get off the pot.

    Hello Dear,
Hope you are in good health and mood.
After a long time,I would like to share my own narration.
Please read it with your comfortable time………………………
" This is all about of my starting period of carrer (JOB)".
As we all know, each one of us is a unique person with gifts, abilities and desires that give us opportunities.

In January 2000, I applied for Show Stopper position in Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt Ltd. I got place after an interview & I was happy and satisfied. As my govern body wanted to me that I should do some extra work or give my extra devotion. So, I had placed as a high part of Show Stopeer for international shows also & later (after 1 yr.)

It was 1st day of my joining. I didn’t know anything that how to do the things, how to maintain, what are course module materials etc. So, asusal I was waiting that, My HOD will call me & will tell me whole about the task. But after a long wait, no body called me, I was blank. Then I myself went to my seniors and asked the things which I had to do. They said in a weird manner – “Go there & Find out yourself “. Phewww….. I was shocked that what is going on…why are they reacting like this?

After 4-5 days, I got reasons of this type of senior’s behavior. The reasons were- As a fresher I was getting few more salary than them & also I was working as a part of core management team. In other words we can say that they were feeling somewhat jealous to me. Instead of any support they were in a fuss that management give me extra facilities etc. but they never thought that I was doing extra herculean task also. All the way they were unhappy to me & what I found that my few respected seniors always tried to find out the reason to see me down or scold me. Finally, I had trapped in this politics. So, that time I was so depressed from inside but didn’t show ever in front of them that I am depressed. Inspite of this, I always showed a cheerful mood, respect & full of enthusiasm in front of them.

But the thing was, my all sweet seniors never knew that they were indirectly supporting me. I was doing my work with more attention, learning more independently & more devotion because of them. Because I never wanted to let any reason for them to scold me or criticize me. So I was doing my best. & every time they found me clean hands. This same situation had been running since 2 years of my job. Sometimes I got myself more depressed & disturbed from INSIDE. & this thing I often discussed with only myself stand in front of mirror and tell the whole story to that man who is inside me and that man is a very spiritual personand live also inner me.

So, my inner man said to me that what god says-
    GOD says –
“ Tum wo karo jo mai chahta hu phir hoga wo jo tum chahte ho” !
& what god wants, he wants-
    # Do good have good,
    # Do not hurt others knowingly,
    # Do not bear grudge towards those who are not good to you,
    # Always help to others,
    # Face the problems patiently,
    # Mind you own target,
    # Forgive & forget.
Every bad time teach us a lesson, learn it & Go ahead!!!
Instead of showing a little bit glimpse of depression, I always showed a mimic effect of happy face not a long face in front of my colleagues.
Finally, one day… In a meeting with our chairperson, He was asking to everyone about the job feasibility & other things related to organizational development. Then my turn came. He was appreciating my work & I replied (in same smile)
i.e. all due to my seniors who always support me & I am always grateful to them. I knew it was being seem as an insane voice to them or you could say a weird condition that was unexpected. From next day what I was seeing that everyone positive with me with a happy face.

And this same thing i apply whenever i change my work station or get new oppurtunities.

Simply everything up to you means how you react, how you face. Do complete your duty with full of your devotion without expecting the result. It’ll automatically get back to you with a fruitful output. You have no control on others & no control over what happens with you. But you can control yourself by determining your reaction that how you react & by following God’s principles.

By this way can change your life by your own way."
THANKS for Given ur time from your busy Sechdule !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's very sad to see this and unfortunately it is a common occurrance in many third world countries. I have seen it first hand during my travels. I don't have a solution but I do sponsor 2 children through a charity organization so that I know I can make a small difference. If this picture rips your heart out then I urge you to consider sponsoring a child through a trusted organization.

They won't just say such unnecessary, sadistic things in front of US common folk, The People, no no, like the Republicans, Insurance & Medical Corporations and more, it has to be secret, very very secret and private and unknown to We The People.
President Obama has already broken his Transparency promise faced with such demands and requirements time again, but let's hope and demand that Transparent Truth is given, demanded and required of all of We The People's money, employees and actions.

Feel sorry for this children but here's a fact that happen in my country there is poor people who choose to be a beggar because can get money easily sometimes they ask their children to do that also.. well no body wants to see poverty but giving them money easily it's not the right thing to do either… people become lazy and laziness will caused stupidity that's why I never agree if helping the poorest with giving them money easily… if you want to help them or government should help them, help them by opening many opportunity for them to work to earn a good living… that's just my opinion it's not that I'm not symphaty when I look to this pictures… but I see in my reality that some people use other people symphaty just to get money easily…

    March 4, 2013

Thank you for sharing your post on Google+ in an attempt at hitting the "what's hot" category.  While I realize that no good will come to these children who are probably dead now considering the condition of the photograph (why on earth the photographer would put forth the effort with taking this picture but not helping the children is beyond me).

I realize this doesn't change much but at least you are being portrayed as a humanitarian today.  That's the real accomplishment… albeit faux in every regard.

Feel free to follow up with me when you've actually 'done something' aside from spreading pictures on the internet.

  193. Jendhamuni Sos

    March 4, 2013

Nothing the prographers can do, besides taking photos to show the world, to get more attention, to seek help for our mother land. The most heartbreaking beggars like seen in this picture is almost everywhere. It's not a set up or anything. It's all over the place. I witnessed them myself when I was in Cambodia with the Human Rights Activists. This picture is posted to show the world that, our country is this bad, but the corrupted government never cares. The government is corrupted, the court is corrupted. It's nearly impossible for human rights activists to do their job. They are being threatened, killed or jailed all the time. Our goal is to remove the prime minister from the seat during the upcomming election in July, with the hope of the fair election, if ever possible.

  194. Marco Muuri

Hopefully, most of you would understand my purpose of posting this heartbreaking photo on g+. Please feel free to visit Cambodia so you can witness this kind of scene in your own eyes, rather than thinking it's a set up. Every day, the government continue to rob the poor people's land, selling the lands to the rich, locking the poor victim in jail for fighting to get their land back. Where is justice? How could we blame the parents for this? The parents of those young beggars probably died already. They did everything to protect their land and their children, but it's so impossible because of the corrupted people in power…

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years.
