My little sister and my dad – nothing is permanent…

Visiting my little sister Alanthara and my dad, at the graveyard. Behind them is Danny Svay, the grandson of our family’s close friend since 1985. Danny died at age 15 from drowning, less than two years ago. My dad does not have a plaque yet. We just buried him on the 5th. ~Jendhamuni

It's easy to say than to practice/done. When we say, "Life is impermanent". We normally meant it unpredictably die according to time, because our human body is composed of four elements: earth, water, fire and wind

…but to the reality, if we lost our beloved ones, it meant different things; it's uneasy to forget

I don't know what to say to your beloved father and little sister who passed away, [Jendha!]

These are my wishes for them:

May your father and little sister's souls take refuge in the Buddha

May your father and little sister's souls take refuge in the Dharma

May your father and little sister's souls take refuge in the Sangha

Although YOU and I have met only a short period of time, but I could read your heart from inside out, that you're one of the best daughters and big sisters in the world

    Your smile makes ME happy!

May the lord Buddha taking care of YOU at all times

    Sincerely,

    Drifter

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
