1. The strength under control

    42

"Gentleness is strength under control. It is the ability to stay calm, no matter what happens." ~Elizabeth George
You can’t substitute material things for love or for gentleness or for tenderness or for a sense of comradeship. Money is not a substitute for tenderness, and power is not a substitute for tenderness. ~Mitch Albom

  2. Fragrance of the Heart…

    Comment

The fragrance of the heart is made up of the qualities and virtues of our spirit.
Millions of people are suffering: they want to be loved but they don’t know
how to love. And love cannot exist as a monologue; it is a dialogue,
    a very harmonious dialogue. ~Osho

  3. Precisely what it is…

Become more and more innocent, less knowledgeable and more childlike. Take life as fun – because that’s precisely what it is. Become aware of your aloneness – which is a reality. And it is so beautiful to experience it, to feel it, because it is your freedom from the crowd, from the other. It is your freedom from the fear of being lonely. ~Osho

  5. They have ups and downs

    Comment

Life and relationships are like roller coasters; they have ups and downs, twists and turns, and you never know what speed you’ll be going, at any point in time. You’ll never know what’s coming…a drop, a loop, a hard turn, or maybe a climb to the top of a steep hill…. So sometimes you try to sit in the front, first row so that you’re prepared for anything that happens. But even that doesn’t help because no matter how much you think you’re prepared, life will always, always keep you on your toes and hit you with something unexpected: A feeling, an emotion, a bruise, a scrap, a scar, a hole, and most of all an obstacle. But no matter what…you have to try it for yourself. Don’t judge it by looking at it or even hearing what people say about it. Learn from the real experience. Because no matter what you see or hear… your every roller coaster and ride is different… ~David Milligan

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
