1. First photo taken by my Mother…

My mother just learned how to take photo this morning. This is a very first snapshot from her. She said she could not find the other half of my body. That’s why you only see the top half of Jendhamuni underneath a few branches with a nervous smile! My mother said she loves those leaves hanging above my head very much!

  2. The fragrance of oneness…

    Comment

Love is the fragrance of oneness and wholeness. Love is the only thing that can heal. The biggest enemy of love is not hate, its opposite, but fear. Fear resides in the unconscious and our animal nature. Only love can illumine the darkest corners of our soul with joy and consciousness. When love shines in our heart, we’ll keep smiling even through the most painful illness.

  4. If someone gives you a gift

    38

A Buddhist story: A man came shouting angrily at Buddha, who remained unaffected by him. When questioned by others as to how he remained calm and unaffected, Buddha answered with a question.

“If someone gives you a gift and you choose not to receive it, to whom then does the gift belong?”

Of course it stays with the giver.

To get something you must give something away.
To hold something you must give something away.

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
