Stay where you are

Stay where you are. Find your own Calcutta. Find the sick, the suffering, and the lonely right there where you are — in your own homes and in your own families, in your workplaces and in your schools. You can find Calcutta all over the world, if you have the eyes to see. Everywhere, wherever you go, you find people who are unwanted, unloved, uncared for, just rejected by society — completely forgotten, completely left alone. ~Mother Teresa

I remember when I was a child and visited " Missionaries of charity" with my friends and we were standing in a queue to meet Mother Teresa and suddenly she came to me and asked my name putting her hand on my head . I told her my name and asked her " What is the source of your love for the mankind". She smiled and answered " which we all have" . Good morning Jendhamuni Sos.

Mother teresa, living goddess. The noble saint, who did immense hard work to eliminate human suffering , she is the mother of all, she belongs to the world why to put restrictions on a specific place ? Did kolkata own her ? No calling out names be it a place or humans.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
