Speak up but remember communication is 80% listening 20% speaking. No jargon, shouting or swearing. Articulate the truth.

It is hard to understand how those people who kill and try to kill others for just saying what they think, do not realize that they are the ones who are actually doing the evil act.

God has given us the Freedom to do all things; the problem is, We let Freedom, make Free with us. Therefore, the people of the earth are trapped in the predicaments they themselves make, which is usually unpleasant. Too many people try to change the world, to everyones misfortune and sadness …. amen ?

If I were younger I'd tattoo a likeness of Malala Yousafzai on my right shoulder (because she is clearly on the side of right) and a tattoo of Pope Francis on my left shoulder (if only for his seeming embrace of South American-style liberation theology).  In a world dominated by money and politics, greed and corruption, cowardice and sin, these two alone provide me with true hope.  With Mandela passed away I can think of no others on the world stage today who we can look to for such moral guidance.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
