The Willingness to Change

Everyone thinks of
changing the world,
but no one thinks
of changing himself.

    +Jendhamuni Sos I constantly reevaluate what I do/have done.

Improvement can be attained once you realize the truth; we know nothing and should yearn to know everything 🙂

Wonderful quote and a lovely image +Jendhamuni Sos . change is the only thing in this world which doesn't change .Coping up with sudden changes can be stressful. It is very important to foresee changes ,adapt and accept .

Well the Red Khmers (Khmer Rouge) were running your country from 1975 – 1979 and all that time Western Countries including Australia had full diplomatic relations with this regime guilty of genocide. Whilst in exile they kept their seat in the UN till 1993 this is incredible. How can we change a system which permits this by changing ourselves +Jendhamuni Sos ? 🙂

I fight the inner struggle more than most. It's extremely difficult. I think that's why most people either don't bother or give up after a while.

What I find hardest is when I struggle with my inner self for so long and then life throws huge external changes my way. It's at these times that I feel I slide back down the mountain I just climbed and I now curl into a ball, exhausted, no longer having the energy or desire to once again make the climb back up.

Self improvement is the only way to change the world we live in.

In the business I am in I always hear blame thrown around for not reaching happiness. "Someone didn't give me this so I can't reach my optimal happiness." Is a mantra that many people live by. Yet I know for myself that I sometimes blame others for me not reaching my optimal position in my life. Thank you for sharing +jendhamuni sos

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
