To Meditate

To meditate does not mean to fight with a problem.
To meditate means to observe.
Your smile proves it.
It proves that you are being gentle with yourself,
that the sun of awareness is shining in you,
that you have control of your situation.
You are yourself,
and you have acquired some peace

    Very soothing.
It seems that I can hear – through a picture like this – the voice of the voiceless.
    Quote and photo ..
    A sensible choice ..

    I agree +assaad chehade
Such a simple instruction to follow,
Does not cost a dime or penny
and we can acquire peace, very easily
    through this simple method…

I do this by walking. When I hear that the birds are singing, that is the creator singing. Smell the trees, the creator producing fresh air. See that water fall? The creator watering His garden. I never get enough of this activity, of which the environment gets smaller every year. +Jendhamuni Sos

How can anyone deny a power greater than oneself? A comment such as "cool" just cannot see the spiritual connection. This makes me struggle all the more to help the rainforest, animals, the water we drink and the very air we breathe.

I enjoy your quotes and the pics in the background. You are an inspiration. Many years ago I would meditate. Afterward I felt a peacefulness within my soul. These days I am very depressed. Life seems to complicated and confusing. It is due to my surroundings. Yes, I am married and have 3 children and 1 grandchild. All live in the same house. It makes it very difficult to find that quite place. Maybe I'm being selfish, but I wish my children could find places of their own to live as they are all adults. Maybe one day. Times are hard. It's difficult for them to find their wings and fly away from the nest. With the economy in the United States so horrid it is very difficult to find a job. They you have your rent, car payment, car insurance, utility bills, clothing, gas to get to work. So…I understand why they are still here with my husband and me. But, oh so do I long for the quiet and peace. The still of the night when all are asleep is the only time I have that quiet place. Then….I'm too tired to do what I enjoy best. Just venting. I need someone to talk to as all my siblings are in other States here in the US. No friends as we live in the country and I have no vehicle. So I feel trapped like an animal that wants to be let free.

I meditate, thinking of the goodness of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, how he has kept me throughout so many situations, how his word brings me joy, and restores my soul. I love the picture, beautiful.

To meditate is to have a singular focus until there is nothing left.

  46. Claire Bacchi

Meditating is pondering a statement or sentence over and over in your
mind. Look deep to see what is being said to you. Does anyone read the KJV 1611 edition anymore? There you find the truth!

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
