Uselessness of Anger

Hard times build determination and inner strength. Through them we can also come to appreciate the uselessness of anger. Instead of getting angry, nurture a deep caring and respect for troublemakers because by creating such trying circumstances they provide us with invaluable opportunities to practice tolerance and patience. ~Dalai Lama

You have to practice this momentarily +Ole Nors in order to control this unpleasant mind. It's hard at first, but later down the road, you will be able to conquer it, just fine and naturally.

Thanks Jen the Dalai Lama's words always inspire awareness. Each one must do it for himself/herself, and the more we contemplate such words, the more our actions bear the fruit. Good morning from Australia where bushfires continue today.

Nao pense Que a Coragem residem apenas na ousadia e Força. A Mais Alta Coragem e A Coragem de Superar SUA Raiva e amar UMA Pessoa Que o ofendeu.

Good morning from America +Dave Lavis I always agree with the words of His Holiness The Dalai Lama! It's just the same teaching of Lord Buddha. We just need to apply it into our daily practice in order to see the great outcome.

Love your enemies, because everybody can love a friend but to love an  enemy, you must be somebody special. Wartime you apply this to treat enemy prisoners and wounded humanely.

Very true +Charles van Dijk Love the enemies too. That's what we, Buddhists do, when we pray. We pray for the enemies too. We want to conquer enemies by love..not hatred…

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
