You Are Beautiful

If you are being bullied, remember:

♥Don’t blame yourself. It is not your fault. No matter what someone says or does, you should not be ashamed of who you are or what you feel.

♥Be proud of who you are. Despite what a bully says, there are many wonderful things about you. Keep those in mind instead of the messages you hear from bullies.

♥Get help. Talk to a parent, teacher, counselor, or other trusted adult. Seeing a counselor does not mean there is something wrong with you.

♥Learn to deal with stress. Finding ways to relieve stress can make you more resilient so you won’t feel overwhelmed by bullying. Exercise, meditation, positive self-talk, muscle relaxation, and breathing exercises are all good ways to manage the stress from bullying.

….•*•.¸¸. ♥

What is Bullying

Bullying is repeated aggressive behavior that can be physical, verbal, or relational. Boys frequently bully using physical threats and actions, while girls are more likely to engage in verbal or relationship bullying. The results are similar:

♥You are made to feel hurt, angry, afraid, helpless, hopeless, isolated, ashamed, and even guilty that the bullying is somehow your fault. You may even feel suicidal.

♥Your physical health is likely to suffer, and you are at a greater risk of developing mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, or adult onset PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).

♥You’re more likely to miss, skip, or drop out of school to avoid being bullied.

The most damaging aspect of bullying is its repetition. Bullies are often relentless, bullying over and over again for long periods of time. You may live in constant fear of where and when the bully will strike next, what they’ll do, and how far they’ll go.

We have all heard this, read this, and yet the scourge of bullying continues to be a run-away train. What's missing?   Everyone and I mean everyone doing their part!       9h9t9h    Lose  friends if necessary.  I lost 3 just last week over this!  Silence is consent!

To counter is friendships, bullies fear numbers. The military has a doctrine of a minimum of 3:1 to attack. Don't be that extreme showing the numbers is enough. Peaceful people always outnumber bullies.

Have any of you been bullied?
I have to deal with depression, anorexia, and insomnia because of it. No one helps you if you're bullied. And don't tell me that's not true. I've spent 9 years going to bed crying, and the only help I hit was a day off every super rare now and then. So I'm sorry, but none of that really works for bullying.

Wow that was very encouraging and that gives hope in the eyes of victims who are bullied. They recognize that people do care and this picture is heartwarming and relative to what they feel. This looks like a getaway or beautiful escape that they hope for and /or a tidal wave of love and passion for them. Well done. 🙂

Bullies bully others because they have a low esteem about them selves so they put others down so they feel good about them selves.

  36. Tracy Carter

    February 22, 2013

Sorry, I read her blog that is wanted to give up! How is that bullying if she wanted to in her life so suddenly then write this? U see he don't like ugly or a quitter, she has not show me, she is willing to fight for others the little ones I think she hold dear to her heart. Children need guidance?

  37. Tracy Carter

    February 22, 2013

But she do not understand her dream? Are willing to fight for what you believe in or choke!

  38. Dana Littleford

The odd thing is bullies are generally just as scared as you are, but they've repressed their fears. Hence, those fears are released as anger, because anger is a safe, non-vulnerable way to express deep-rooted fear. And bullies act knowing that their actions are safe. The best way to eradicate bullying would be if other children–upon seeing it–would step in en masse to stop it. Alas, that never happens.

    February 22, 2013

Why are there also adult bullies? Isn't bullying something that one should grow out of or be educated out of?

I get laughed at almost everyday, not about my disability, but about my hearing problems, people can be so cruel say hurtfull things that effect us deeply, bring pain within our hearts that lasts a lifetime, why cant people just keep there nasty comments to themselves,it would help if we didnt have to be bullyed everyday….Life is hard enough, yet we still have to deal with the people who want to say hurtfull things to hurt us even more, why do people have to say things like that??

  41. Hannah colorsrfun

    February 23, 2013

+Dale Kerr i'm glad you know that their words are false…people can be mean, and most of the time it's because they are insecure themselves so they want others to be insecure, which is bad logic but that's unfortunately how many people think. there is a lot of great stuff online on positive thinking, but the best advice you can ever get is from God's Word in the Bible. Yeah, i know i'm probably going to get negative comments for this, but I follow Jesus, not other people. God knows you have value and can help you get through this. He can show you the gifts and abilities He has given you and how to use them. You have value and don't you ever forget that! =)

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
