1. LOVE means to be patient, cheerful and kind

    202

    If love means to cherish,
    and honor a sweet soul.
    Inscribed on my heart,
    with you I feel whole.

If love means to be patient,
    cheerful and kind.
    Nothing is more important,
    than you on my mind.

If love means to be selfless,
    and always forgive.
A mere glance into your eyes,
    and forever I'll live.

    If love means to joyously,
    every moment to share.
    For your continued happiness,
    more than anything, I care.

    If love means to always,
    listen and respect.
    With every soft kiss,
    I strive to connect.

If love means to give up,
    all the mountains on earth.
    I would do so instantly,
for our love has infinite worth.

If love means to be there,
through the thick and the thin.
With your love in my heart,
    each day I shall win.

  2. There is a light in this world

    104

There is a light in this world, a healing spirit more powerful than any darkness we may encounter. We sometimes lose sight of this force when there is suffering, too much pain. Then suddenly, the spirit will emerge through the lives of ordinary people who hear a call and answer in extraordinary ways. ~Mother Teresa
  3. A state of Love — Every movement

    174

The Buddha's teachings on love are clear. It is possible to live twenty-four hours a day in a state of love. Every movement, every glance, every thought, and every word can be infused with love. ~Thich Nhat Hanh
  4. Hungry for Love

    204

Hungry for love, He looks at you. Thirsty for kindness, He begs of you. Naked for loyalty, He hopes in you. Homeless for shelter in your heart, He asks of you. Will you be that one to Him? ~Mother Teresa
  5. Prayer is not asking

    115

Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts. ~Mother Teresa
  6. How much love did you put into what you did?

    16

I am not sure exactly what heaven will be like, but I know that when we die and it comes time for God to judge us, he will not ask, 'How many good things have you done in your life?' rather he will ask, 'How much love did you put into what you did? ~Mother Teresa

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
