1. True Family

    55

The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof. ~Richard Bach
  2. Do not let go your Kindness

    169
No matter how badly people treat you, don’t give up. Do not let go your kindness and compassion. Keep smiling, keep walking, till you reach your destination. In my life, I have met all kinds of people, but I never regret when looking back. I become who I am today because of them. So-called enemies are the food for a spiritual practitioner. You will never know how well you do or how strong you are without them. Till today, the fools continue to kick me, slap me, poke me, pinch me, punch me, but it’s okay by me. They can treat me like this for as long as they want. My ultimate goal in life to to help others, so I will never give up this  goal. I will never let go my kindness, my smile, because the wise has never criticized me…~Jendhamuni

  4. The Heart

We are all wounded. But wounds are necessary for his healing light to enter into our beings. Without wounds and failure and frustrations and defeats, there will be no opening for his brilliance to tickle in and invade our lives. Failures in life are courses with very high tuition fees, so I don't cut classes and miss my lessons: on humility, on patience, on hope, on asking others for help, on listening to God, on trying again and again and again. ~Bo Sanchez,
  5. A day you have never seen before

    32

Today is a new day. It's a day you have never seen before and will never see again. Stop telling yourself the 'same crap, different day' lie! How many days has that lie stolen from you? Seize the wonder and uniqueness of today! Recognize that throughout this beautiful day, you have an incredible amount of opportunities to move your life into the direction you want it to go. ~Steve Maraboli,

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
