1. I’m a Woman Every Single Day

    64

I was born as a woman
    Live as a woman
    Will die as a woman
Every day, I see no difference
Because I’m a woman all the time.

  2. Complicated Families

    57

So many tears shed in the dark of night,
hidden away in our private thoughts
only to be shelved with morning’s first light
because of no courage to speak of the pain
this part of our lives remain the same…

Mother’s and Fathers, Sisters and Brothers
gather for holidays they hope will heal
while gathered together sharing a meal
what they bring, back from the past,
perhaps they’ll be able to bed it, at last. Continue reading

  3. We should fight for Peace

    50

When wars and conflicts totally cease,
In our world, there shall be peace.
People must learn to get along,
Not blame others, for being wrong.

They fight for control, fight for land,
Some just need a helping hand.
We must rid ourselves of vanity,
And embrace peace, through humanity. Continue reading

  4. I Follow My Dreams

    78

    I get laughed at,
    I get ignored,
    I often feel trapped,
    and keep my thoughts stored,
people can be cruel and very mean,
    but no matter what,
    I follow my dreams

    life has waves,
    I know that,
    but i stand brave,
    and take the crap,
I may feel exhausted and totally creamed,
    but no matter what,
I follow my dreams Continue reading

  5. You Have To Stay Strong

    37

Have you ever felt like all hope is lost?
    Being so desperate,
    No matter the cost?
    Then listen now,
To what I have to say,
    It’ll give you hope,
And might change your life today.
    Look back and remember,
    All the good memories forever.
Think about the people you care,
And the happy moments that you’ve shared.
    You have to stay strong,
    And give life another chance,
    Know that your needed,
It could be your only defense.
    Always remember that,
    When things go wrong,
It’s not the end of the world,
    You have to stay strong.

  6. Falling Star

    299

That night I caught a falling star,
During summer so warm and clear.
I thought of how and where you were,
That night I caught a falling star.
To have you near me from afar
I closed my eyes and wished you here,
That night I caught a falling star
During summer so warm and clear.

  7. You Really Can't Buy Happiness

    155

    You cannot buy your happiness,
    ‘Cause happiness is free.
Don’t you know, or can’t you guess,
It’s there for you and me.
And what you do with what you’ve got,
Can change the way you feel.
Just do your best and smile a lot,
    You’ll keep an even keel.
‘Cause happiness is made for YOU,
Just take a bite and see
That happiness is what you do
    With something that is free.

  8. Hope is never so lost

    71

    The rain will stop,
    the night will end,
    the hurt will fade.
    Hope is never so lost
    that it can’t be found.

    508

If you like to fight, please fight for the poor children

    The suffering of Khmer Children,
is never the suffering of the
    Cambodian Prime Minister…

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

A Handful of Leaves

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
