1. My New Cousin

    87

First time meeting my new cousin.
She just arrived here, from Cambodia.
    We never met before,
but feels like she’s going to be
    my new best friend.
    She’s already invited me
    to sleep over. Thanks.
Too bad, we live in two
    different states.

  2. Forever a Student

    152

I consider myself a student of many religions.
The more I learn, the more questions I have.
For me, the spiritual quest will be
    a life-long work in progress.

  3. Nature and Its Beauty

    53

beauty is nature in all it’s glory,
preaching us a lot of story.

    fall, winter, summer & spring,
the site of the nature is a beautiful thing.

as the sun sets my heart did rise,
the stars shined within the skies.

my soul glowed as the wind stirred,
my breath caught at a sound of a bear.

little animals moving through in night,
    climbing, slithering, roaring in flight.

darkness en wrapped me with a comforting touch,
oh i love this nature so much. Continue reading

  4. Keep On Smiling

    72

If at times you feel you want to cry.
And life seems such a trial.
Above the clouds there’s a bright blue sky
So make your tears a smile.

As you travel on life’s way
With its many ups and downs
Remember it’s quite true to say
One smile is worth a dozen frowns.

    Among the worlds expensive things
    A smile is very cheap
And when you give a smile away,
You get one back to keep. Continue reading

  5. The Easier Path

    40

    Life is just a journey
    Full of twists and bends
But when you rely on family
And the value of your friends
You’ll find that the journey is easier
that the path is not as rough.
Each step you take with others
Helps it not be so hard and tough.

  6. This Thing Called Life

    122

    Sometimes it’s happy; sometimes sad.
Sometimes it is good, and sometimes bad.
Once it was old; now it’s a fad.
Doesn’t writing these silly poems make you mad?
    I’d rather sing silly songs.
It is fun and oh so nice.
Sometimes, you have to wonder about
    This thing called life.

  7. Love for everyone

    Does it really matter what your religion is;
Or the color of your skin?
What church you attend on sunday,
or the neighborhood you live in?

Is the car you drive really important?
Does it make the man or woman inside?
Does any thing in this world truely matter?
Can you take it to the other side?

Something is wrong with our nation today,
we seem to have lost all common sense.
    We no longer stand united,
we use discrimination as our defense. Continue reading

  8. A Blue Rose is new to the flower kingdom

    42

Genetically modified flower blue rose is unique!
    Rose colour gives hope of future by its very look;
Red rose is unique among flowers as it is queen
In the flower world nobody can deny having it!

Yellow rose shines bright in the long green garden
Full of many trees and other flower plants broad!
Pink rose flowers are many everywhere as border
Mainly in the botanical garden of hill stations here!

Blue rose, a new addition in the flower kingdom
Among lavender, blue bells and rare kurinjis of
Light blue, violet and ink blue colours everywhere
Stands majestic and having healing touch to all!

Rose is rose by whatever name it is called and also
Rose is rose by whatever colour it is produced ever!

    Poem title: A Blue Rose!

  9. It’s Your Choice

    70

People will always throw stones in your path!
    It depends on you!
What do you make from it:
“A wall of Difficulties or A wall of Success”

  10. An Orchid is like a Woman

    Like a woman
An orchid is a beautiful flower
    Like her foundation
Its stem is strong yet flexible
    Like her skin
The petals are silky soft to the touch
    Compared to her feminine body
    An orchid’s form is curvaceous
    Like her beauty
An orchid is designed by nature’s highest vision
    And reminscent of her scent
The sweet aroma casts a spell on innocence Continue reading

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
