1. Lotus & the Seeds — My Food & Best Friend

    81

Lotus seeds are what I ate during the Killing Field

    Good morning!
In case you forgot my name.
    This is Jendhamuni.
    Originally, from Kingdom of Cambodia,
where the land is getting smaller and smaller
because our government is too kind!
Everyday, they stick to the same mission:
Threaten the poor to give rich the lands…
    Sweet, bitter, sour, or salty?
    You tell me!
    This is the reality
    behind the black curtain
    in Kingdom of Cambodia,
where the king must always remain silent!
    Otherwise……? You fill in!

    Wishing you a Curious Day,
    filled with Love and Compassion,
    along with endless wisdom.
    ~Jendhamuni

  2. Leave your Message with the Moon

    114

Looking at the Moon and Thinking of One Far Away
    ….•*•.¸¸. ♥

The moon, grown full now over the sea,
    Brightening the whole of heaven,
    Brings to separated hearts
    The long thoughtfulness of night….
It is no darker though I blow out my candle.
It is no warmer though I put on my coat.
So I leave my message with the moon
And turn to my bed, hoping for dreams.

  3. Sharing Your Secrets

Sometimes just the act of sharing
a painful secret can relieve some of the pain.

  4. Blame and Praise

    112

This world is very miserable — full of suffering. No need for us to attack one another on cyberspace. Still, we cannot stop those who choose this path. But, we can control ourselves from participating in these attacks. I do understand that many of us, only want to hear praise and positive comments. If someone made negative comments about our posts, suddenly we jump and let go our value completely, just like trading our diamonds with stones. In this world, no one on this earth will praise us all the time and no one on this earth will criticize us all the time either. By reacting to the attacks or negative comments in negative ways, it shows that, We, and the Attackers, are no difference — just one of a kind…We are no better…
    ~Jendhamuni

“As a solid rock is not shaken by the wind, so the wise are not shaken by blame and praise. As a deep lake is clear and calm, so the wise become tranquil after they listened to the truth.” Buddha

  5. Water

    Water washes over my hand
    Water slips away like sand

    Water trickles down a river
Water slides just like a slither

Water is patient and knows when to wait
Water doesn’t mind if it shows up late

Water falls from the sky in tears
    Water wipes away wasted years

Water can die and live again
Water can squash and pry and bend

Water has been here in the beginning,
and water will be here until the end

    Water is reliable
    Water is a humans friend

  6. Sleep Well Tonight

    34

Night is come by, so set your bed and go to sleep,
What lies ahead of you, are lovely dreams.
May all your problems and worries melt away,
For tomorrow is going to be a brand new day!
    Good night!

  7. Sunset Thinking

    118

Do you ever watch the sunset
And just sit and think about things
Just you and the sky and darkness
    Giving your thoughts some wings

    Perhaps you’ve got some troubles
And don’t know what to do
Or you just plain need to get away
To spend a little time with you

Sunset beauty makes you feel as though
Your life has meaning after all
To see a sight so extraordinary
Makes you feel capable, strong and tall Continue reading

  8. Each person has something to teach us

    37

Cultivating respect as a virtue does not mean insisting that all ideas, beliefs, or actions are respect-worthy. It does mean that we recognize the basic human dignity of others, even when their ideas or values are different than our own. A general attitude of respect also assumes that each person has something to teach us if we are willing to learn.

  9. Grilled Veggie Kabobs

    17

For those who don’t know what to cook for their Loved Ones this weekend. Here, one suggestion I have for you. It’s the delicious Veggie Kabobs. Please do not ask me for the recipes. It’s as simple as you see in the picture. Just stick your favorite veggies on those sticks and grill them as desire. Please do not try to stick some fish, chicken, beef or pork. This is a Veggie Kabobs, stick to the rule, please.  And for the sauce to go with the kabobs, please ask someone else because I never know how to cook anything :)))))

  10. It's Friday — Finally!

what I wish for U! Have a great Weekend.

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
