1. Do not afraid to face criticism

    108

We must learn how to handle negative comments on social media. Do not allow negative people to live in your head. Do not go to sleep with them. Go to sleep with the person you love instead. You need to show the negative people how to live your own life, by totally ignoring their comments; by letting them write on your posts freely, A-L-O-N-E. Responding to them is showing that you are participating in the ignorant world. If you cannot handle negative comments on social media, how are you going to fight the real battle in the real world, in your real life. It's a piece of cake to pretend to be an angel behind the computer screen, but it does not work like that in real life…Be tough! No one in this world will have time to criticize you every day, without your permission. You get hurt because you allow negative people to hurt you. And that is your own fault…~Jendhamuni
  2. Pleasure Seeker Is Swept Away

    47

For one who has a clinging mind
    and gathers only pleasure-flowers,
Death does seize and carry away
as great flood a sleeping village.

Explanation: Those men and women , fascinated by worldly things, go about seeking pleasure, like a garland-maker picking the flowers of his choice in a garden. But, gradually and silently, death overcomes them like a flood in the night sweeping away a village asleep.

    ~The Buddha – Dhammapada

  3. Today is my Lucky Day

    44

Every day is my Lucky Day, because every single day I master my thoughts, my words and never allow my body to harm anyone, not even a bug. Therefore, I don't have to run around looking for a fortune teller to bring me luck, or asking a holly man for a holly water to take a way my bad luck. It's better living just one day in a wise man lifestyle than one hundred years as a selfish and a scary person… Jendhamuni
  4. Keep in Mind

    58

As a friend, I want to be like your sister, where I can lend a helping hand. I am not the type of person who would agree with everything you said. If your actions are not wise, I will point them out, whether you like it or not. You may be angry at me at the moment, but down the road, when what I said makes sense to you, you will appreciate it. I'm here to promote inner peace and loving kindness. If you come to me and say, your friend stole your diamond ring, I will not encourage you to call the police and put her in jail or go smack her in the face. I will instead tell you to practice compassion and forgive her. Everything happens for a reason. This happens because of that….Nothing ever exist alone, by itself. I strongly believe in the law of karma…~Jendhamuni
  5. We are all faced with the same Obstacles

    120

The lotus is the most beautiful flower, whose petals open one by one. But it will only grow in the mud. In order to grow and gain wisdom, first you must have the mud — the obstacles of life and its suffering. … The mud speaks of the common ground that humans share, no matter what our stations in life. … Whether we have it all or we have nothing, we are all faced with the same obstacles: sadness, loss, illness, dying and death. If we are to strive as human beings to gain more wisdom, more kindness and more compassion, we must have the intention to grow as a lotus and open each petal one by one. ~Goldie Hawn
  6. One word of Love

One word of love is worth more than a thousand clever speeches. ~Harold Klemp

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
